Built at the border of our hearts
this wall of the 21st century will grow
drawing nourishment from all dark corners
of human nature
to become the Great Wall
of America

This was written with a good bit of irony. Trump’s wall is a symbol of how many Americans are building a wall around their hearts and their feelings. The poet suggests that such a wall, meant to keep others out, may actually be a wall that keeps people in, away from the rest of the world, a prison of their own making.
