“The Siren”
Written and translated by Rob Chen
I.
Your silence
cuts me deeper
than your song.
II.
Your smiles grow
into endless lavender fields.
Like a wild child,
I get lost, but miss not home.
III.
Drowned in your vortex-like
laughter, whispers and silence,
even when I'm home.
IV.
Cease singing.
Nothing is left between us
but illusions.
V.
I listen to the rain—
simply beautiful, and true.
And wonder why I had been sunken
in her artful melodies.
VI.
I listened to wild songs.
I listen to mild rains.
And will listen to
Nothingness.
