I see him
playing guitar
with tiresome eyes but happy smiles.
When the soulful melody sinks
into my bones,
I realize you are here, too.

I see you
chanting his poem
in a passionate tone.
Suddenly I know
you two met before birth.
And I am new here
sitting, listening,
and sometimes raising questions
as a student of yours.
